The children have learnt about the life cycle of a plant today.
To observe this process, we have planted a bean and will watch it germinate, grow and flower in the classroom. We plan to plant the beans in our school garden where we will see the bean pollinate, fertilise and form seeds. The life cycle will be complete.
We will be keeping a diary over the weeks to record our findings.
Our learning of plants continued this week. The children used microscopes to observe the structure of petals, leaves and stems which was fascinating. They then used watercolours to paint what they saw.
We are making super progress with our mission to encourage more wildlife into the school grounds.
