The construction of our houses is finally underway. Amongst the skills demonstrated throughout the morning were; accurate measuring, sawing, sanding, glueing , reenforcing corners and lots of patience.
We turned our classroom into the trenches to experience what life was like for the WW1 soldiers. In Spruce, we explored different methods for purifying the rain water for the soldiers to drink. The pupils tried filtering and sieving using different equipment - however, although the water looked clean, we decided that evaporation would be the safest and healthiest method.
Year Four are going to be learning all about the Romans this term. Today we did some drama. We were imagining what it would have been like to see the Romans arriving in their boats.
