Listen to our recording of Alouette during International Week. It helped us to learn parts of the body in French.
Through the magic of technology, Ash class travelled to France, met each other, said hello, asked each other’s (fake) names and how each other were, then said goodbye – in front of various French backdrops.
Today, Lime Class were continuing their learning about animals. We discussed the absence of the aitch sound in hibou and also investigated the difference between porc and cochon for pig and context of use. We looked for animals with four legs and we had some inventive learners suggesting half an octopus or two chickens. We also took the opportunity to use the skills of other language learners in the class and compared certain words in French, Italian and Spanish.
Year 5 (Oak) were listening to extracts from the Carnival of the animals. The class were spotting which piece of music portrayed which animal. We also learnt the names of a variety of animals.
