This morning in Ash class, we looked and different types of poetry: rhyming, non-rhyming, nonsense and limericks. We then prepared and practised a poem in groups to perform to the rest of the class. There were some great ideas for actions and ways to perform the poems – we gave each other “two stars and a wish” as feedback.
This morning in Beech Class, we had a great time looking at the work of Michael Rosen and compiling a list of success criteria for effective performance poetry. The children used great tone, expression and body language to enhance their poems.
