Today Y6 went to the Steam museum in Swindon. They learnt lots about the history of the Great Western Railway, Brunel and the lives of the workers who built the railway.
A mixture of high and low technology in use this morning as Year 6 continued with their touch typing training. They are using typing.com, an online typing tutor and using old paper box lids to cover up their hands so they get used to not looking!

Year 6 have been composing Space music using classroom instruments, keyboards and the Garage Band app. They worked in pairs and small groups to create sound effects. They used as many musical elements as possible to enhance their compositions.
