The children have learnt about the life cycle of a plant today.
To observe this process, we have planted a bean and will watch it germinate, grow and flower in the classroom. We plan to plant the beans in our school garden where we will see the bean pollinate, fertilise and form seeds. The life cycle will be complete.
We will be keeping a diary over the weeks to record our findings.
Our learning of plants continued this week. The children used microscopes to observe the structure of petals, leaves and stems which was fascinating. They then used watercolours to paint what they saw.
Thank you Year 4 for inviting us to watch your performance of Wind in the Willows. It was fabulous and your parents are in for a real treat.
No pictures of the actors because I do not want to spoil the surprise!
Thank you to the children who treated us to a super recital this morning. We all really enjoyed it.
